Metrico

Metrico (Metribuzin 70% WP) is a selective herbicide used to control annual grasses and many broadleaf weeds. It is used as pre and post-emergence herbicide recommended for use in Wheat, Soybean, Potato, Tomato and Sugarcane. It effectively controls Phalaris minor, which has developed resistance to most of the herbicides in addition to many other grasses and broad leaf weeds. It is economical because of its broad-spectrum activity and low dose. No residual effect on succeeding crops.

Mode of Action

Inhibits the Photosynthesis at Photo-system II. Selective & Systemic pre and post-emergence broad spectrum herbicide, absorbed predominantly by the roots, but also by the leaves, with translocation acropetally in the xylem.

Precautions

  • After each operation the mixing and spraying equipment is to be rinsed thoroughly with plenty of water, using a detergent or soap solution before being put to use for spraying other pesticides.
  • Any surplus spray solution must not be disposed of in crop lands or in stagnant flowing water, where there is a possibility of polluting the sources.
