A bio control agent for agricultural use only.
MBF Larv-o-action contains 2x108/ ml spores of Beauveria bassiana fungus which
appears as white threads under Microscope. This is a naturally occurring fungus
whose spores are very efficient in killing insects. MBF Larv-o-action controls
Whitefly, Aphids, Thrips, Mealy Bugs, and other sucking insects in crop such as
grapes, cotton, pulses, tea, potato, tomato, oil seeds, tobacco, spices,
cereals, vegetables and all horticultural & ornamental crops.
Mode of Action
When spores of this fungus come in contact with the cuticle (skin) of
susceptible insects, they germinate and grow directly through the cuticle to
the inner body of their host. The fungus proliferates throughout the insect's
body, producing toxins and draining the insect off nutrients, eventually
killing it.
